MyNewGut is a large research consortium financed by European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme. 
Our lab is responsible for lipidomic analysis of patient material including plasma and feces.

Together with Josef Ecker (TUM) we are interested how gut microbiota affects the resorption of fatty acids, intestinal lipid synthesis and storage. We will quantify lipid species and apply stable isotope labelled lipid precursor/fatty acids to trace transport and metabolism of lipids in the intestine.
